Around one hundred years on, the Churnside family is still quietly looking after Rossendale's farewells — from Joseph, a joiner who took his first funeral as a side-line to his trade, to his son Peter, and today to Michael, the third generation.

Our own Chapel of Rest, on Burnley Road in East Waterfoot, offers families a calm, private place to spend time with a loved one before the funeral. Visits are by gentle arrangement, at any time of day or evening.
